Our Impact
Here at APPEL, we have made it our duty to assist homeless people in their search of redemption. Our Rehabilitation program is designed to uphold the concerned individual and gives him the necessary tools in life to overcome their personal hardships - paving the way towards a better person.
Despite hundreds of people - men, women and children - having accordingly no shelter, only a certain proportion chose to turn to us. However, annually, APPEL succeeds to reach out to a considerable number of homeless throughout the island.
Presently, the ARCH Centre has only been able to accommodate male homeless people and enroll them in the rehabilitation program. Yet, courses, counselling and training have been offered exclusively to women and children. APPEL is constantly extending its grip over the homelessness scourge and is working towards a scheme for women too.
The bar chat below illustrates the number of families that were directly or indirectly transformed by APPEL during the past 4 years. Entering the second half f the year, we are even expecting 2018 to continue the upward trend set up since 2016.
We have a pragmatic vision for our students to reintegrate society as we emphasise the 7 keys of rehabilitation:
Self Care
Integrity
Responsibility
Caring
Fairness
Citizenship
Respect
